Q&A
WHY GIRLS?

We believe that when girls are provided with a space to collaborate amazing things happen. Unfortunately, while girls still outperform academically at school inequality and obstacles still exist that prevents this success to transition into a career world. For Australian girls a 'Dream Gap' still persists in Australia that sees significant gaps between women's future aspirations and reality. By focusing on developing girls toolbox of transportable skills we want to bridge this gap.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

Our programs are interactive, student centered and provides post-program support to students. We believe that while traditional presentations can inspire and motivate students need ongoing mentorship, access to quality resources and support networks to ensure that positive behaviour change is sustained.

ARE THE WORKSHOPS CURRICULUM BASED?

Yes! Our workshops are fully aligned to both the Australian Curriculum and NSW Year 7-10 Life Skills Syllabus. Please refer to the Curriculum Map for more information.

"This particular program is very relevant to our students. They do not get the opportunity to learn about real life scenarios as they did with the program."

- Girl's Advisor, Francis Greenway, NSW

" I attended one of She Can's Holiday workshops, inspiring girls to dream big, set goals and smash them. The workshop really resonated with me. Thanks to them I have completed every single one of my goals and I truly and wholeheartedly support the work they do."

-Year 11 Student, Newcastle

Thank you for bringing your Enterprise workshop and showing us what you do. It helped me gain clarity and insight into what language and inspiration is put out there for young females, and empowered me with some new approaches and ways of thinking. It's important work."

 - Behaviour Change Facilitator

"The messages along the way were powerful, inspiring and engaging. So much so that I commented that I could only hope for a lesson like this where each and every one of the girls not only actively engaged in productive ways but learned to much."

- Learning and Support Teacher, Salamander Bay NSW

"It was very informative. The presenter was enthusiastic and related the content with topics the students understand. The students laughed the whole time and were all fully engaged, which is sometimes hard to do with this particular class. Thank you!"

Year Leader, Canberra, ACT

"I absolutely adored this workshop and thoroughly enjoyed a workshop I did in the past with SheCan. I’m going to be putting some tactics I learned at the “Cram” workshop into reality and I cannot wait!"
